Below you will find the Character Template for your app and details on each section, as well as the template code itself. Copy this code to get the template, and post your app in this board. Work-in-Progress, or WIP, unfinished apps, are allowed, and apps with this label will be ignored until WIP is removed from the title.

Building Your App

First/Last Name Your character's whole name.
Nickname Any nickname your character is known by.
Age Your character's age in words, unless it's ridiculously high.
Gender Your character's gender - Male, Female, Non-binary, other, etc.
Species Species of your character. Canons may put unknown if it isn't known.

Feel free to place an icon of your character's face for the image. For best effect, make sure the image is of a 1:1 ratio (100x100, 250,250, 7293x7293). The template will resize accordingly, but remember that larger images may become pixelated and ugly.

Appearance for Originals, feel free to put either a paragraph or two describing your character, or link an image using the below code. For Canons, you can do either or, however giving both displays effort and dedication in handling the Canon.

Personality Provide us a glimpse into your character's mind, tell us their likes and dislikes, their desires and fears, how they interact with others. For Canons, be creative and colorful, particularly if there is little canonic info to go on, we aren't here to refute anything but the most wild of design choices, such as making Samus Aran a wimpy little crybaby. coughOtherMcough

Backstory Give us some history behind your character, tell us where they came from, how they became what they are, why they do what they do. Canon Character backstories will be more closely scrutinized as an indicator of skill towards handling the Canon. Do not copy/paste from the wiki, and I will know...

Powers In this RP, in some cases, particularly the Main, you may need to defend yourself, or you may wish to bring the fight to someone else. To this end you have Powers, a set of weapons, abilities, and techniques used for utility, combat, and otherwise. All three forms of these Powers use the same template, so paste it as many times as you need for each Power. Keep in mind that there is a Soft Limit of Twelve (12) Powers. You are free to add as many Powers as you want to your app,, but this Soft Limit determines how your Powers are graded. Putting in Twelve or fewer Powers allows you to have powers of moderate to decent strength, but if you go above the Soft Limit, your Powers will need to be weaker than those of an average character with Twelve or fewer Powers. This Jack of all trades clause will help keep a structure of balance within the app while still allowing freedom over your character. Keep in mind that the judgement of power is ultimately up to the mod checking your app.

Powers

Weapons A sword, gun, magic rod, or some other weapon that can be used to attack in some way. You can possess as many weapons as you want, but you still need a way to wield them all. Weapons generally have an inherent form of attack, whether it be a physical strike from a sword, a slug from a gun, or a particular spell from a stave, these can be listed with the weapon within the same Power as they are inherent.

Abilities Passive powers that are usually active at all times, or under certain circumstances. This can include resistances and immunities to certain damage types, enhanced physical prowess but a weakness to magic damage... Tradeoff abilities that sacrifice one thing to empower another is fine, and lets you go slightly farther with strength, but contradicting abilities will be denied, such as doubling magic damage in exchange for weakness to physical damage, but having another Ability that grants resistance to physical damage.

Techniques Your literal attacks, spells, utility, and special mechanisms That are actively used in combat. Whether this be a flame-enhanced punch to someone's face casting a spell to heal an ally, readying a defensive maneuver to defend against an opponent, it can be considered a Technique.


Final Smash Your ultimate power, a final attack used in your desperate final moments of the battle to try and seize victory from the jaws of defeat. Whether this be a transformation, a massive attack, or simply enhancing your powers, your Final Smash is a powerful, unique Power that can only be used when you are close to defeat. Understand that while your Final Smash is indeed powerful, there is still a limit to how powerful it can be, regardless of how high that limit might be.

Player/Character Info
FC Name is the name of your Face Claim, the character who's image you use for your Original Character, while Series is the franchise they come from. In the case of a Canon Character, FC Name will simply be the name of your Canon.

Below is the code you will use for your character app. Copy it and paste it into a word doc or a NEw Thread in the RP Characters board, and fill out your character information. If you are familiar with code, you can 'clean up' the app and remove some extra space by literally removing extra spaces in the template, if you so wish.
