(Formerly Mushroom City & Currently Bowser's Stronghold)

The once bustling Mushroom City has been overhauled and improved, turning it into a neon wonderland. Not all is hip and hopping, though, as a strange purple haze now floats through the streets on the ground, across most of the city. Bridges and walkways connect some of the taller buildings, holding up giant neon signs that advertise one place or the next. They do very little other than provide light, however, as the dense storm clouds above block out the sun, and people rarely ever venture out of their homes. The clouds are not the only occupants of the skies, as the city skyline is well defended by frequent airship patrols.

From the purple haze to the infrequent patrols of scouts in the streets, the city has become an uninviting place for most, its denizens included. While there are some shops and services in the city, the main attraction is the giant tower looming over the entire city from its location in the very center. The Great Tower of Bowser City, a massive tower rising from the center of the city, high into the sky. Its purpose is unknown, other than serving as Bowser's new stronghold, despite having no visible defenses. The tower itself is reinforced by the same purple haze that covers the city, making it impossible to destroy. The haze also seems to be emanating from the tower itself for reasons unknown.

On the top floor sits Bowser, reigning over his tower and the Kingdom from on high. His loyal adviser, Kamek the Magikoopa, resides just a few floors down, where he guards the captured Princess Peach. Curiously, the tower has very little in way of guards or defenses on the inside even. And the guards that do patrol the floors are rather weak. According to DK, Bowser possesses a new kind of power, one that was strong enough to defeat him, as well as the Bros and Yoshi all at once. Should you try and make an attempt to fight the koopa king, try to make it out with your life...

Wesker had left the battle occurring amongst the road of stars, as it was getting him nowhere. It was already a bother using his powers on weaklings such as the knights from earlier, it was rather....pathetic. However, it was interesting meeting others with magic and supernatural abilities, some strong, some weak, some....not even worth living, but Wesker did have an interest in one, and that person was Maxi. His powers needed some further looking into, its origins...were they of earth, or were they from another world that's not Earth, so many questions. First objective was to find a way out of this hellish wasteland, but it wasn't long before he noticed airships already headed for the direction he came from as he hid behind the dead trees to keep himself from being notice.

"Airships roaming in the skies so freely, so it seems there's a higher power ruling this world...now I'm getting somewhere."

Wesker grinned as he watched the airships flying off before he walked towards the direction they came from. Moments later as Wesker continued running through, the earth below him started to shake as two large Poison Pokeys had stopped Wesker in his tracks by rising from the ground. They both were at least extended in length with eight more body parts then the usual.

Wesker luckily managed to avoid this by flipping into the air as the cactus-like creatures made a circular formation around the researcher. While keeping Wesker locked on the Poison Pokeys both attempted to strike Wesker in a cross formation, but the researcher spins his body around avoiding the attacks before he dashed to the ground. "Well what do we have here, more specimens?" Wesker said as he walked towards the two shaded smiley creatures who stood side by side. The creatures stared by movin their bodies back and then forcing themselves forward to slam their heads onto Wesker, however staying careful of their spikey bodies, the researcher thrusts his fist upward and knocked one of their heads off and then swiftly appeared into the air kicking the head onto the other Poison Pokey.  When the bodiless Poison Pokey landed on the ground, its head collected more parts as it reformed its body by rising again.

"One minute...one minute is all I can spare to play with you."

One of the Pokeys started to swing itself as it hit the other Pokey's spikey body parts to use as a projectile towards Wesker, who once again evaded their messily attacks with ease until the last two were very close to Wesker's face. The researcher smiled as he caught the body parts with both his hands, avoiding the poisonous spikes. They both then charged towards Wesker circling around him as he remained trapped, but he only stood their waiting. They both once again tried to attack him in a cross strike, but this time Wesker jumped and as he landed on a body part, he kicked them off reducing their size, both back to four parts. With that done, he then used this opportunity to dash towards the two creatures with blinding speed knocking each of their body parts off using the parts he held instead of his fists to avoid the poison, leaving just their heads. Lastly, Wesker fires a gunshot from his Samurai Edge killing off one of the Pokeys, while he looked at the other one and said, "Times up" before slamming his foot down onto the creatures head.

It wasn't long before Wesker found a city ahead, covered in a purple haze and blockaded with guards patrolling the sector from the ground to the skies. He'd only show a smile on his face as his eyes started glowing red.

Upper Depths

As Wesker approaches the city, he would find a light layer of rain pelting the dead ground, leaving small puddles all around the path. Eventually he would come across a gate into the city, guarded by a few tough looking koopas in full armor. Nearby, an airship was parked, the loading ramp lowered to the ground. Though the airship was on standby, the koopas at the gate itself were still on patrol, keeping an eye out for intruders. As soon as they spotted someone approaching, one of the patrolmen would sound a whistle, and three heavily armored koopas would jump out of the airship and run over to the gate. Reaching the gate, they would fall into formation, walking forward to meet Wesker.

They would stop a few feet away from him, the two rear koopas standing still, watching him carefully as the lead spoke up. "State your business, outsider." It was odd that someone would willingly approach the gate when the clan was hunting down stragglers in the outlands. Regardless, they had no orders to capture anyone, nor to deny entry to non-hostile entities. The commanding koopa couldn't but be intrigued by this man who bore the shape of a human, yet semed... very different from the humans the clan has dealt with.

Before he could even reach the city gates, he was approached by three of those knights again, blocking his path. Wesker singlehandedly obliterated one of their other leading knights earlier at Star Hill, how is it possible that natives from here never stood a chance. Wesker knew very little, but this world's reign wasn't his problem to deal with, the "Saturation" back on Earth 2009 was near completion, he had little to no time to waste on these otherworldly beings.

Simply standing there with his arms crossed he'd answer, "I'm here to speak with your leader, if I may."

There best choice would be to let him through, unless they'd all rather suffer like their fellow men did, and Wesker would happily seal their fates. However, he was also curious about this omnious power clouding throughout the city's landscape along with the endless rainfall. So much to learn from this world, but so little to time to waste. Lucky for him, his archnemesis Chris Redfield and the B.S.A.A weren't present to stop him unless somehow they were lingering in this world somewhere.

Nonetheless, they didn't stand a chance.

Upper Depths

He wanted to... what? This human was most certainly intriguing, not only did he have the guts to approach the gate, but he also wished to see King Bowser? Perhaps, was he an outsider to the kingdom that did not know of the Koopa King and his reputation? Either way, the guards had no reason to prevent this human from entering the city. He posed no threat... The lead guard would step to the side, the other two following behind. "Go on, Lord Bowser is in his tower. It's your funeral, bud." If the man had any malicious intent, Lord Bowser would put him in his place anyway. With that final remark, the guards would watch the man as he enters before returning to the airship.

The guards had moved out of the researcher's way and allowed him to proceed, but before he entered through the large gate, he heard the leading guard's final remark as if Wesker was a mere weakling like the rest of the bunch. His eyes would glow red through his shades as he stared at the guard ready to pierce right through his armor, but he wasn't the objective and walked ahead only to say, "Perhaps, but even the dead can rise again..." and with that, the large gate had opened and the researcher entered into the ominous city.

Before Wesker was a large city, very much similar to New York City but more of a wonderland with very few citizens that weren't at all human. What's more, this disturbing purple haze had surrounded most of the city itself and didn't seem to effect most of its population, but the researcher knew this was nothing to sniff at. Wesker began to venture throughout the city, seen with unwelcoming attention from most of the patrol within the streets of these parts and noticed the citizens staying within their homes as they closed their windows to avoid the strangers attention. This unwelcomed environment didn't really bother Wesker the slightest, but this purple haze....what was it, where did it come from, was it the cause of this world's supposed downfall at the hands of this...."Lord Bowser"?

While he walked, he heard a slight crumble of paper as he stopped and looked down, only to see a newspaper. He immediately picked it up and looked closely at the article. He read, "Another Day, Another Koopa...Lord Bowser's Empire remains supreme." Wesker then turned the page and noticed a wanted dead or alive warrant for the following, The impudent Mario Bros. Mario & Luigi, their green pet Yoshi, and the loud monkey Donkey Kong...they must've been the only resistance to the ruler's reign. Uninterested with this matter, Wesker tossed the newspaper aside as the trailing winds carried it away amongst the unsettling air surrounding the buildings.

[ BGM: Encounter Within the Darkness ]

Before Wesker could press on, four of their kind had walked out of an alleyway and surrounded Wesker with their sinister laughter, they were definitely the shady kind of creatures. Wesker didn't even budge unimpressed of this attempt of startle, these ruffians were just mere street rats looking to scare people since the ruler Bowser seemed to have given them that right...at least carry a knife if you want to be feared, how pathetic. The leading ruffian who stood a couple feet in front of Wesker had said, "You ain't from 'round here, those are some pretty cool shades though, we'll be takin' them from you...not asking for permission by the way." As the ruffian smirked with his shades giving a slight glimmer, Wesker simply chuckled as he turned away, taking off his shades afterwards before he said, "You mean...these?!"

With his back still facing the leader, Wesker immediately threw his shades towards the Shady Koopa as the ruffian caught them with ease, staring at its "nice design". "Heh, glad we could coop-" however, unaware that he lowered his guard by staring at the shades, the ruffian was interrupted by his supposed success and knocked away by Wesker's rising knee attack Jaguar Kick. The researcher managed to catch his shades and placed them back on his face as he smirked. Two of the Shady Koopa had withdrew into their shells, started spinning, and dashed towards the researcher, but Wesker turned to the third Koopa who was idle and started walking to him. With the shells getting near, Wesker still kept his focus on the idle Koopa, but pulled out his Samurai Edge handgun and started shooting one of the approaching shells repelling it back every shot. Wesker caught the other shell by placing his foot on it and forcefully kicked it towards to the idle Koopa which caused both of them to hit each other and land on their backs, unable to move. Wesker stopped shooting the shell as it continued its pursuit on the researcher, but he lowered his Samurai Edge and shot the shell off the ground before using his Mustang Kick, knocking it away on its back. Placing his handgun back in his pocket Wesker had walked towards the leader, but the struggling Koopa looked at the researcher and smirked as his shades glimmered.

"Alright gang, time fer the Four Koopa Power Shell Attack, let a rip!" Amazingly enough, the four Shady Koopa managed to return inside their shells before moving backwards and started spinning around, charging up for a "powerful" attack. Wesker stopped walking as he was curious what these ruffians were up to, and simple remained still. Eventually all four Koopa charged towards Wesker, all from different sides, as the researcher placed his following arm behind himself while he held out his leading hand. Strangely, the purple haze passed Wesker's hand causing Wesker to view a lapse of his memory. His fight with Chris Redfield during his mission to obtain the T-Veronica Virus in Antarctica...Wesker held Chris by the neck, finally reading to kill him, but a mere interruption of flames caused Wesker to burn part of his face. With the lapse ended, Wesker held his face from pain, but with the four Shady Koopa approaching the researcher used his speed to translocate away as the Koopa slammed into each other into the air. Wesker reappeared just in time and used his explosive palm attack Cobra Strike, knocking each of the ruffians into each other before they all had fallen to the ground and fainted.

"I have a world to saturate, I don't have the time to be interfered by mere ruffians..." Wesker said before he heard clanks of armor approaching from behind...the guards. "If you'll excuse me" the researcher had escaped from the guards' view as he jumped from building to building, until he had reached the top of a tall building only to see a giant tower looming over the city, high into the sky. It'd only make sense, this had to be where this "Lord Bowser" had seated. However, that purple haze...what did Wesker just witness from that....power? He needed answers, and with no hesitation, Wesker moved back to the end of the building before dashing forward with enough speed to jump high enough to break through the middle floor of Bowser's Great Tower....the room was empty, cost was clear.

Before the police crew could arrive, the man would leap away from the scene, up onto the buildings as the passerby watched him slam his way into the tower. Though it was a black wall, it would shatter like glass where Wesker collided with it, leaving a hole around where he had leapt through. This hole would not remain, however, as the mist from the streets would slowly extend to cover the hole, solidifying to create a new barrier, sealing up the hole.

Inside, Wesker would find a very empty floor, a massive, indestructible black pillar in the center and practically nothing around it, besides two sets of stairs leading to the upper and lower floors. Suddenly, from the stairway would walk two koopas, coming down from the upper floor. They would notice the intruder, and one of them, perhaps the smarter of the two, would take off running back up the stairs, leaving the second to reconsider his life choices as he continued on his way to the floor.

Eyeing the man suspiciously, the koopa would keep his distance, continuing to walk forward, but keeping his gaze on the man, quite apparently unnerved, and afraid to outright fight the man. He chose this job because he'd be protected by Bowser, but oh boy, he didn't really think out the details too well...

Way up on the upper floors, the koopa made it to his commanding officer, the magikoopa in blue. "S-sir! Intruder! On floor 36!" Kamek would let out a sigh, another hero looking to rescue the princess and save the kingdom. He almost felt bad for the poor sap, falling victim to the timeless romance story, only to have no idea what they were in for this time around. Maybe for once it would be someone interesting...

"Return to your post, soldier, and let them come to me." Though Kamek has nothing but respect for the Koopa King, the magikoopa does hold his men in higher regards than Bowser ever does. He would prefer to get through this with as few casualties as possible.

[ BGM: Infiltrating the Great Tower ]

This had to be it, while not high enough, Wesker managed to successfully breech the Great Tower of this...Bowser. Still on his knees from the rough but handled landing, the researcher managed to pick himself back up on his feet as he turned to notice the dark haze from the streets had covered the broken glass wall into anew....interesting. The room was empty, but not before he noticed he was in the middle of a stairway leading up and down, and a black pillar of no significance whatsoever. Suddenly, Wesker looked up and saw two of the knights walking down the stairs who immediately noticed his presence as one ran back the opposite direction while the other...slowly continued forward.

It didn't bother Wesker that he was spotted as an intruder, whether he was caught or not, he was in the right place to meet their ruler. Wesker immediately grabbed the knight by the neck and politely asked, "Can you tell me where the nearest elevator is?" The scared knight had started shacking as he pointed upward to a glass door. "Thank you" Wesker said as he tossed the little knight down the stairs, and then continued up the stairs until he opened a glass door leading to an empty hallway....there was an elevator. Wesker approached the elevator as he pressed the switch leading up and eventually a ring was heard as the automated doors opened and the researcher made his way inside. He'd pressed the button leading to the highest level, but something caused it to switch to another floor, somewhat closer to the highest. Wesker tried again, same thing happened.... "Well, it seems my presence is aware of...very well then."

Wesker looked up and saw a shaft, he took out his Samurai Edge handgun and shot it, causing the shaft to open as the researcher jumped to the outside of the moving elevator. He'd use his speed to translocate from wall to wall until he reached to an elevator door that had already opened. Wesker jumped through the door and into the hall of the same coordinated floor, someone must've been expecting him. There was a room up ahead, with the sound of panics and commands. Wesker stumbled upon this room, where he saw the other knight who ran, and a mage of some sorts. Without hesitation, Wesker took out his Samurai Edge again from his coat and pointed it towards the mage.

"Bowser, where is he?" Wesker said as he pulled the hammer from the back of his Samurai Edge down, ready to shoot if he doesn't get his answer.
