Eliza dresses casually in baggier cotton shirts accompanied by shorts outside of work. For warmth the most she would do is her lab coat, though she claimed she wore the coat purely because others were concerned about her well being. Not because she felt cold. During work she either wore the coat over a semi-formal white shirt and black skirt, or a heavy duty armor etched with anti-magic runes to protect her in case an automantric engine goes wrong.
Physically thin, though she is heavier than she looks due to a healthy amount of muscle hidden under her clothes. She is fairly tall at 5'10, and often wears glasses to strengthen her aetherical attunement. Her long black hair and bagged eyes are more due to neglect than any devotion to appearance, and are often masked by make up and a low-tied ponytail when she needs to make herself look presentable.

Eliza, if anything at all, can be described as ambitious. She has lived her life being denied her visions and dreams, and now as an adult has decided to abandon all pretense of caring of the lives and well being of others. She considers her dreams of the magic study of automancy to be so powerful that the words of others pale in comparison to the evidence of such a magnificent power.
That isn't to say that her philosophy is "The ends justifies the means." Rather, she sees all of life as a tumultuous gathering of processes, each as complex or as simple as one wishes to scope and magnify them. To her, therefore, the concerns of the simpler pieces fail to grasp the potential beauty of completing the entire machine that automancy would construct, and thus she is fully willing to see her science come to fruition. Not for the rewards, but for the pure satisfaction of witnessing and researching its effects for the sake of knowledge.
Her ideology is grandiose as her lifestyle is strict and specific in order to maintain her mental and physical strength for her goals. Though she holds no special powers or talent in it, Eliza will regularly physically train and hone her combat techniques. Part of magic, as she would say it, is the upkeep of the physical body so it may remain in synchronized motion with the aetherical essence. Though her opinions remain strong in this sense, she is not overbearing on others. Her philosophy and lifestyle is exclusive to her own life, which she prefers isolated. Not just for her own pleasure, but out of a disturbing concern for others; a fear that if they come to close to her, they may have to be discarded later.

Eliza Guignol, original name Xiaobi Guangi, was born in a poorer district of the Scrapper region of her homeworld. Though she lacked money, she would discover magic due to her innate Attunement, letting her see the magic that ran across the multiple machines around her home. In particular she became entranced by the rail systems, which burned an image in her head that would become her sole obsession for the following years: A train that ran on multi-coloured rails of magic.
She sought proper magic education and was picked up by a scholarship program seeking to recruit students who were born with aetherical synesthesia, the medical term for Attunement. She became a student to a disciplinary professor who enforced a code of physical and magical training, under which Eliza became familiar with the more complex mathematics behind spellcraft as well as the physical rigor needed for martial magic. As she entered college she would become a prime candidate for the Automancy Project.
Automancy was a new field that started as a purely hypothetical idea but showed promise as newer more efficient sources of aether were discovered. By combining spells, the resulting residue created by the conflicting spells could be used to create a chain reaction, each interacting with each other to produce potential endless spells. In short, a mechanical engine made purely out of magic. Upon hearing the prospect of automobiles running on an aetherical engine, Eliza quickly joined the project. Her ability to cast spells while resisting the physical strain along with her ability to pinpoint details of spells during chain reactions made her particularly skilled in automancy, though it would take many years before she fully grasped the concepts and could cast her own unique spells outside of what was taught and demanded by her superiors.
The automancy project was disliked by several influential organizations. From one side came the religious doctrines, seeing automancy as a perversion and taboo. From the other, the magitek industries that saw the introduction of efficient and lightweight engines as a threat. Slowly and steadily, laboratories and facilities housing Automancy Project participants would be razed and destroyed, along with all traces of the project itself. Eliza, realizing the threat, ran from her own facility and escaped into the lawless areas of the Southern Kingdom, changing her identity to join a guild as a no-name adventurer.
Even as an anonymous mage, Eliza would begin making connections with various magi within the guild. Eventually reaching a guild known as Zein. Zein agencies specialized in the physical manifestation of aether known as crystals, using them as fuel sources for their mobile facilities. Eliza saw the potential of housing automantric engines within crystals and pitched her ideas to the Zein, who put her to work first as a researcher, and then a practitioner and assistant director and eventually when wars broke out between the guilds, the commander of her own mobile base. Her base would become the Crystalline Express, an automantric train that served as a production and transport facility of crystals to other Zein bases, and thus Eliza would become known as the Crystal Conductor.
Even upon reaching her childhood vision of a train powered purely by magic, she still holds greater expectations of automancy and wished to see the full limits of what her magic could do, experimenting endlessly within the Crystalline Express.

Description: Eliza's eyes are steeped with magical energy, allowing her to visually see magic and magic auras as various colors. This gives her a skilled perception of all magic, allowing her to ascertain details like the type of spell and where it's being cast from.

Description: Eliza is capable of setting up spells in a way that they are capable of reacting and creating stronger, more complex spells. Though in their full application this could be used to generate eternally lasting magic engines, Eliza uses simpler mechanics for combat.
Here, all spells will be ranked by tiers. If a spell interacts with Aetherical Volley, Aetherical Seal, or Aetherical Crystal, the original spell will upgrade onto the next possible tier.

Description: Fires a sphere of automantric aether. The sphere itself is actually a combination of self replicating spells, slowly decaying as it emits aether and light. The sphere itself is slow, but can travel long distances. Oddly, the volley itself has physical mass and properties to it.
When an Aetherical Volley comes in contact with any other spell, the secondary spell will advance one tier.

Description: The next tier up from Aetherical Volley. Fires two volleys at a faster rate. The two volleys can travel in different directions, but if they collide they create a violent explosion with a 3m radius.

Description: The next tier up from Aetherical Volleys. Throws a sharpened automantric spear. If the volleys collide with any other spell/proxy, they create a more powerful explosion with 5m radius.

Description: Generates an magic seal empowered by automancy. Can either be attached to a surface or suspended in midair. The automantric procedures locked within this spell are reactive, only responding to other automantric engines by accelerating their processes.

Description: Tier up from Aetherical Seal. The seal fully materializes as a crystalline structure. The next spell cast by Eliza will shatter the crystal, but automatically raise the spell's tier to Tier 3.

Name: Tier 1 - Proxy Wisp
Description: Creates an automantric proxy. Automantric proxies act under Eliza's orders and will automatically fire certain spells from Eliza's repertoire. Unlike the other spells, these manifestations are a combination of alchemy, automancy, and traditional summoning magic. Only 2 proxies can be active at once. Each proxy can only last up to 3 posts, and can be killed with conventional attacks. Upgrading a proxy does NOT refresh their lifespan.
Tier 1 Proxies create wisps that are only capable of following Eliza and firing a singular Tier 1 Aetherical Volley. Because they are the based off of wind-based spells and automantric steam,
any physical contact with the wisp will cause it to dissipate.

Description: Tier up from Proxy Wisp. Creates an automantric fairy that can travel on its own free will. The fairy can cast Tier 2 Automantric Volleys in a singular post. In the case of an emergency, the fairy can also sacrifice itself to heal wounds.

Name: Proxy Golem
Description: Tier up from Proxy Fairy. Creates an automantric golem. The golem moves slowly and cannot use any automantric spells. It does, however, hit hard and leaves behind an Aetherical Seal upon its death. Though the golem is highly resistant to physical strikes, its crystal core is very sensitive to magical imbalances.

Description: Tier up from Proxy Golem. Summons an automantric angel. The angel is capable of using tier 3 Aetherical Spears, and upon death will leave behind an Aetherical Crystal. While the angel has little physical resistance, its core is much more defined and is capable of emitting an anti-magic field around itself.

Description: Recreates a portion of Eliza's automaton, the Crystal Express. A crystalline train car (or, if the space is too small, the crystalline engine) falls from above and embeds itself into the floor. The next 5 spells conducted by Eliza will automatically be set to its maximum tier, using the train itself as the crystal catalyst.
